germarie & daniël’s wedding

Roy and I met Germarie and Daniël at the end of 2022. We went for a glass of bubbly in the stunning Stellenbosch and planned their engagement shoot together. As soon as we finished our little meeting/meet-and-greet, Roy and I couldn't contain our excitement about being a part of their wedding day.
When we arrived for their engagement shoot (which we will share in a separate blog post), it was clear that they shared a deep love for each other.
Everything about Germarie and Daniël is effortless and easy, and you can't help but smile when you think of them!
The day of their wedding finally arrived on January 7th. We arrived at the serene Faraway Estate in Villiersdorp, where it was evident that everyone in Germarie and Daniël’s bridal party had helped with the décor and arrangement of the flowers, all done in the name of love. During our walkthrough of the venue, we found Germarie’s sister-in-law busy dressing the table with the most beautiful flowers. We saw so many people helping to get everything ready for the ceremony. Only when we arrived at the chapel were we met with the most beautiful sight—flowers hanging from the chapel roof. We stood in awe for a few moments.
Daniël got ready in a cottage just below the chapel. Upon arrival, we were met by an excited groom and his lovely friends. What a bunch of easygoing and “lekker” guys! Germarie got ready in the Faraway main homestead, surrounded by her best friends and family—the most beautiful and wholesome group of girls, all sitting together and getting ready for their friend's big day.
After a lovely ceremony, Germarie and Daniël stood there, smiling from ear to ear, sharing drinks with their loved ones, opening the dance floor, and owning the speeches.
It was a night filled with love and laughter, an incredible dinner, and a breathtaking sunset. From the start, it was clear that they were confident in each other and their love for one another.
