Lara & Rohan met on a blind date during their university years, and one of their first dates was at the Taal Monument. Now, I’ve known Lara for a while—we’re basically family (her cousin is my cousin, and my cousin is her cousin—haha). I’ve always admired her enchanting smile. Not to focus on the physical, but Lara’s smile is as inviting and warm as she is, and that’s how she always makes me feel right at home.
When we started planning this shoot, we really hoped for sunlight to capture beautiful shadows. We realized rather quickly that the day would be gloomy and rainy—but how thankful we were! Rohan and Lara lit up the Taal Monument with their quiet and calm demeanors. Lara looked breathtakingly beautiful in a Nadya Vonstein dress, and Rohan was handsome in his own-sourced wardrobe (I’m sure Lara helped him pick it, hehe). We had the best time capturing them while listening to their wedding plans and stories of how they met. They treated us like friends, and we can’t wait to work with them again!
This shoot was one of those that left Roy and me feeling super inspired.
